To be quite honest, I’d never heard of Joshua Bell. I’m not sure what rock I’ve been hiding under, but most everyone else I mentioned him too (with the exception of my husband) knew exactly who he was. But, in case you are as sheltered as me … Joshua is a violinist.
This album consists of 16 tracks – each of them featuring another artist. Some amazing names are on this project – Sting, Regina Specktor, Kristin Chenoweth, and Chris Thile – just to name a few.
I enjoy classical music, but it’s not the thing that I listen to the most. However, I’ll admit that I’ve played this disc several times as background music in my office. It’s a great choice when you need something on, but you don’t want anything distracting. It would be FABULOUS for a dinner party. I can imagine this playing in a Starbucks or Panera Bread. It’s classy classical.
