September is here! It’s fall, ya’ll … officially.

There are a few things that you will want to keep your eye on for bigger than usual savings.

Next week, Apple will announce their new version of the iPhone and any other products that follow. (Samsung made an announcement of future products today.) This will case all cell phones and iPads to drop in price. If you are in the market for an upgrade, but don’t care about having the absolute latest model  €“ then here’s your chance!

2014 cars have been on the lots for a bit now. Any 2013 models that are left need to go. This is a great time to wheel and deal on a 2013 model of any kind, even luxury. Dealers need room for more current stock. Take advantage.

Blue jeans most always go on sale in September. If you favor a specific brand, buy when you see a good price. But wait on the other fall clothing items, you will get a better deal in late October.

If there is a diabetic in your family, watch for good prices (as well as high value coupons) on glucose meters. These aren’t cheap, but they can save lives. If you happen to be able to catch a sale with a matching coupon, you can sometimes get these free! Consider donating to a shelter or a retirement home.

As always, school supplies are still out and are being marked down. If you think that you will have to replenish at some point in the year, stock up. I find that I need to restock pencils, glue sticks, and spiral notebooks during Christmas break. I buy those now and store them away.

 €¦ and remember, there’s no cents in paying full price!  Watch for a great sale and combine with a coupon when possible!
