I love my dog. Yes, I’m one of those. And, quite frankly, I swore that I wouldn’t be a “dog person” or an any kind of pet person. But when we adopted our sweet little Yorkie, Butch, nearly 3 years ago, I instantly fell in love.
Shortly after welcoming Butch home, we found out that he had heartworms. We paid for him to be treated and monitored him closely as time went on. I learned a whole lot about pets and medication and vet visits during that process.
One of the things that I learned is that pharmaceuticals for pets are just as expensive as they are for people. For that reason, I turned to purchasing them online. But, I recently learned something even better €“ many pharmacies are beginning to also stock meds for pets!
Here’s a list of the pet meds that Kroger carries. They have $4 and $10 generics, just like the people medications! (Kroger has added the pet program nationwide.)
HEB also offers a pet pharmacy, but they are currently updating their list on the website. If HEB is your preferred store, ask the pharmacist on duty!
Walgreens offers pet mediations at 7,800 of their pharmacies, but you can also order online. Click here for more information from Walgreens. (Use Ebates if you buy from Walgreens and get money back!)
€¦ remember, there’s no cents in paying full price! You can use the coupons that are available from the stores pharmacy for people or pets!
