Let’s face it, there are just some people that are hard to buy gifts for. There are those that have everything already. The ones that are so picky, you are scared to buy them anything. Then, there are the others that just are tough to fit.
The best invention in the universe for these folks is a gift card. If you can narrow down the store — or even a location, you are all set!
Here are some helpful tips when purchasing a gift card:
* Keep in mind that many shopping centers and malls offer gift cards that can be used for any of their tenants. If you have a good sized budget for your recipient, but don’t want to nail them down to one particular store €“ this is a great option.
* Ask if the store has a current special or promotion regarding the purchase of gift cards. More and more, we are seeing deals with these cards. For example, “Buy a $25 gift card, receive a $5 coupon on your next purchase.”
* You will want to find out if there is “fine print”. Does the card have to be used all at one time? Does the amount begin to decline after a certain amount of time? Is there an expiration date?
* Can the gift card be used at multiple stores under the same umbrella? A good example of this is Gap. Gap cards can also be used at Banana Republic, Old Navy, Piperlime, and Athleta.
€¦ remember, there’s no cents in paying full price! Get the best bang for your buck and the best gift option for that picky person on your list!
