Avery got a Nintendo DS for his birthday. He was so excited and amazed that he finally had one. He told us that it was his “wish” as he was blowing out the candles 🙂

Of course, the thing has been glued to him ever since. Being the good mom that I am, I thought ahead and had it fully charged when I gave it to him. It’s the first thing he grabs in the morning before daycare/camp, and the last thing he puts down as we’re going out the door. I can already tell we will get our moneys worth on planes and waiting for seating in resturants.

We own a Wii (which he also loves) and Avery is a huge fan of Mario Kart. So, naturally, I bought Mario for the DS. I also bought Bolt since I have a Bolt game app on my iPhone that he plays a lot. He has really loves them both.

What games do your kids have that you would recommend for us? Also, how many games do most kids have? Nintendo DS games are Buy 1, Get 1 50% off this week at Toys R Us – is that a good sale? Is it a common sale?
