I began doing Project Life in 2010. I had heard a lot of buzz on the internet about this great new and easy way to document family life. I was very intrigued. I want desperately to savor all of our family memories, but so much gets lost in the hurried pace that it never gets down on paper. I looked with delight at this new program and *wanted* to jump right on the bandwagon. But, the kits were sold out.

Nonetheless, I decided to do it anyway. I’m so thankful I did, because 6 weeks later I got an email that the kits were back in stock. I ran (literally) to the computer and ordered one. I can honestly say that it’s the best $50 I’ve ever spent on my family. They all enjoy looking at it now, so they see the worth … but I can’t imagine how grateful and thankful I will be in 10, 20, or 50 years! To me, it’s about leaving a history, and a story, and a legacy.

If you had told my husband that I would actually start AND finish this project, I’m fairly certain he would have called you a liar. I even shocked myself. But, I can say with full truth that I have finished my 2010 album – and am completely up to date (minus a few journaling cards) for 2011.

I wanted to make this video to show you how easy it can be. I sometimes hate that this “project” gets lumped in with scrapbooking. It’s not – or it doesn’t have to be.

Part One: See the album, how it’s put together, and ways to customize!

Part Two: Hear different ways to use the album, how to save money on photos, and how to share this with your kids!

Here are my pictures for the past week:

A co-worker forgot to log out of Facebook, so we (my other co-workers and me) took a picture and uploaded it as “his” new Facebook profile picture. We thought it was the funniest thing ever.

My kids and their sweet cousin are staying with their grandparents this week. They have really enjoyed having a baby to play with. They think she is SO funny!

One of my best friends, Katy, and I went to the Britney Spears concert!

This same day, Piper lost a tooth! It will be an 8×10 collage picture that I’ll insert in a separate page for this week!

This is a sample of the breakfast that my children get each morning when they stay with their grandparents. Somehow I don’t understand how this compares to a Pop-Tart 🙂

I don’t know what movie was showing in the car, but I love the look of concentration on Piper’s face. She is INTO it!!!

Construction is moving along on a flyover bridge that they are building close to our home. This will be a huge asset for our area since we are experiencing RAPID growth.

Fishing at the lake – doesn’t this just feel right for a summer vacation when you’re a kid?
