With the Ski Show Dancers

We spent the weekend in San Antonio. It’s a great city  €“ if you’ve never been there, you should definitely visit. We usually stay downtown and go to the Riverwalk for the great atmosphere and food, but this time we stayed closer to our destination … Sea World.

Avery’s birthday is this week and he wants to be a vet. In order to help him see different types of animal life (and to avoid having to have a Texas-sized party), I thought it might be neat for him to see marine animals and witness the trainers in action.

We had a wonderful time. We took in all the shows and were so impressed. The animals are so well trained, and it’s obvious that they are well cared for. Avery’s eyes were huge the whole time. He had a great time watching and observing every move.

As Disney fanatics, it was obvious to us the differences in this park and the Disney parks. And, to be perfectly honest, it made me miss the Disney magic. But this weekend, it was all about the animals and if you visit Sea World for that reason  €“ then you’ll have a wonderful, wonderful time.

(Even if they are a Pepsi park … oh, did I miss my Diet Coke!!!)
