Long time no blog … a massive, destructive, not-even-funny-to-joke-about stomach virus took over our home last Thursday. Today is really the first day that I can say that we are all well and definitely going to live.
I learned two very important things from my doctor that I want to share:
Always clean up puke/vomit/throw-up with gloves on. As a mom, I grabbed the closest rag and went after it. (I threw the rag away!) Doesn’t matter … my doctor said I caught the virus through actually cleaning it up.
When dealing with such €œfluids, € use bleach in a 2-1 ration. (2 parts bleach; 1 part water). I cleaned with Lysol and felt good about it. She suggested cutting straight to it and going after all cleaning with bleach. It kills virus’ and anything else in it’s path!
So … now that we’re healing … I’ll get back to regular posting!
