Next week, I’m heading off into bloggy heaven at the Blissdom conference. I don’t know a soul … not one person that’s going. I’m rooming with three lovely ladies that I’ve never met before (God bless Twitter and Facebook – it’s how we found one another). I’m hopeful that I’ll learn a ton, have a blast, and develop relationships that will last a lifetime.

Since I’m going to be a stranger to all, I thought it might be relevant to write a post about me – so that when we meet – you can have some background!

1. I’m a Kentucky native (first 27 years of my life) and I’m now a Texan. This will be completely evident by the southern twang that I can’t seem to shake.

2. I love all things Pop Culture. In my next career, I want to be  a Celebrity News Analyst. I also love Pop music and have the lyrics to every Top 40 song memorized and ready to go at a moment’s notice.

3. I work in a mega-church communications department. I’m a project manager and copywriter. I also work in combination with several other very cool peeps on social media integration and strategy.

4. My husband is in the music industry. He has a great job that he loves. He also travels like crazy which makes our life very unconventional (especially considering that we have two children at home!).

5. I have a sweet tooth that doesn’t quit. However, I’m not a huge chocolate fan. I like chocolate, but if I had to choose between a Snickers and Skittles, I’ll take the Skittles every time.

6. I watch every reality TV show that’s on. I’m not sure how I do it, but it happens and I love it. I also CAN NOT miss Desperate Housewives, Grey’s, Private Practice,  and Brothers & Sisters. I’m a walking TV Guide.

7. I hate to read books, but give me a magazine, newspaper, or blog – and I can’t put it down.

8. I have all sorts of weird connections to random famous people. I guess because I’ve lived a lot of places, but never for long … it’s made it possible to have interaction with a lot of people through the years.

9. I won 3rd place in the National Line Dancing competition in 1995, only 4 months after I took up the “sport”. I’ve not danced a single “boot scoot” since then. I guess since it came so easy, there wasn’t a challenge and I just stopped.

10. I’m very funny. You won’t see that until you really know me, but I think it’s one of my better personality traits. If I joke or cut-up around you, you know that I’m completely comfortable.
