Let’s face it, in the coupon world, it’s impossible to use everything that comes in the Sunday paper. The offerings are so vast it would surprise me if most people use even half of an average insert. (I know, I know … there are some weeks that are better than others!)

My goal for the new year – it’s not to early to talk about it – is to bless others with the coupons that I will otherwise throw away. Here are some of my ideas:

1. Diapers/Formula: Consider sharing with a local daycare, a family with a new baby (or even TWINS), drop them off at the check-in station of your church nursery.

2. Diabetic Testing Supplies: These are so expensive. Send out an email asking if someone can use these. I guarantee you will get multiple responses. If you still come up empty-handed, drop them off at your doctor’s office, pharmacy, or an assisted living center.

3. Bandages, Tissues, Ointments: Send these to your school nurse, teacher or a coach. Many times, they will pay for these things out of their own pocket. Seems small at the time, but over the course of a year, the costs really add up.

4. Dog/Cat food: Share with your local shelter, perhaps a friend that fosters animals, or your aunt with 40 cats 🙂

What can I do with expired coupons? Check out this site! Military families can use expired coupons. Take advantage of this great program.

Any other ideas? I’d love to hear them … leave them in the comments section!
