This past Sunday, Dr. Ed Young (Pastor of Second Baptist Church – Houston) delivered one of the most powerful messages that I’ve ever heard.
Kudos to a pastor that has the boldness to speak on the faults of our government. Democrats and Republicans alike should hear this message. It takes no prisoners, but speaks the truth.

I should say, politics and religion bring out the very best and also the worst in folk. The very best because both can result in folk being incredibly kind, the worst because both can result in amazingly obstinate and irrational acts. I’m not having a pop at you, your post just made me realise this, so thank you for that.

Unfortunately, I can see the hypocrisy in this blog. While Dr. Ed Young gets glorifying reviews for mixing politics with religion, and preaching from what is clearly his rightwing conservative views of what Washington should be, Rev. Jeremiah Wright was repeatedly lambasted for doing the same thing! It’s time for the hypocrisy to end!
